YaraMila Complex fertiliser for grazed horses
YaraMila COMPLEX is exactly the same formulation as Paddock Royale, contains identical nutrients and is merely an alternative brand name from Yara.
YaraMila Complex contains the key nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium, Magnesium and Sulphur) - and is a great horse paddock fertiliser that contains the essential nutrients for optimum horse paddock grass growth. NPK = 12 - 11 - 18
Being a "compound" fertiliser, the separate nutrients are mixed together into homogeneous prills, which all contain the identical balance of nutrients required for paddock grass growth. As all the fertiliser prills have the same shape and content, the product cannot separate out whilst spreading, allowing a uniform distribution of fertiliser.
Several horse owners are concerned about having over rich grass for fear of colic, laminitis or just grass fat ponies and high yields of grass are not required. Paddock Royale contains only 12% nitrogen and gives steady growth avoiding lush grass whilst still applying the other main nutrients - phosphorus, potassium, sulphur and magnesium which are essential for balanced growth.
Magnesium is important for strong healthy bone growth in animals in association with calcium and phosphate metabolism. Sulphur and zinc are also important for the health of skin and hooves
The product is supplied in handy, robust 25kg bags.
Soil Analysis
Although YaraMila Complex will address a paddock's fertiliser requirement, we also recommend paddock owners undertake a Paddock Soil Analysis, to measure the exact nutrient content of the soil. This inexpensive, mail-order soils sample test allows our qualified experts to highlight any nutrient over or under supply that affects grass growth or animal health. We often recommend the use of less fertiliser than expected, but instead target a missing nutrient that limits paddock potential.
Example application programme for YaraMila Complex for season long grass production.
- Early March-mid May- 4 bags/acre
- August - September - 4 bags/acre (if extended grazing season is required)
Do not graze for at least 10 days following application, or until you can't see the fertiliser.
Pasture Management
Divide your grazing area into two. Fertilise and allow the first area to recover, whilst grazing the other.
