
BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection – Invasive and Injurious Weeds
ProGreen offer intensive training for the BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection (Invasive and Injurious Weeds) which is a legal requirement for:
- Contractors and distributors who sell or give advice on pesticides
- Pesticide manufacturers and suppliers
- Consultants, agents, managers, specifiers and local authority managers who are involved in pesticide sales or advice
This BASIS course includes the skill module: Invasive and Injurious Weeds, which is in great demand due to the increasing awareness and fear of invasive weed species such as Japanese knotweed (JKW) and Giant Hogweed. Other skill modules are available which can be added at a later date, e.g. sports turf
Exams are officiated by BASIS examiners and include: Pest and Disease ID, written examination (multiple choice and situation) plus oral exams (Viva)
Full course is split into easily digestible modules followed by mock exams and revision sessions - see below for more information.
